MIX Summer Camp
Our department is thrilled to announce a new trip specifically designed for 2019-2020 6th, 7th, and 8th grades this summer! On August 3-6, 2020, MVC Rise will be participating in MIX 2020, a four-day youth conference that will be hosted at Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center in Stanwood, WA.
What is MIX?
MIX is a summer event intentionally crafted to engage middle school students through tactile, interactive, and fun activities coupled with Bible-based teaching and small group interaction. The following is what a typical day at MIX might look like:
7:30 – Breakfast
9:30am – Morning Session
11:00am – Small Groups
12:15pm – Lunch
1:30pm – Outdoor Games
2:30pm – Free Time
4:00pm – Stage Games
5:00pm – Dinner
6:30pm – Main Session
8:15pm – Small Groups
10:30pm – Lights Out
Who Can Attend?
This trip is open to current middle schoolers who are already a part of our program. This means that incoming 6th graders in 2020 will not be eligible to attend.
Note that for our inaugural trip we will be capping attendance to the first 16 students who turn in their forms and deposits by April 1, 2020. Based on how this trip goes, we will consider expanding for 2021.
Registration, Cost & Payment Due Dates
Registration will go live on January 26th and forms are due no later than April 1st, 2020. The following items must be turned in by that date:
- MVC Activity Permit and Release Form
- $50 deposit.
Trip Cost: This amount will cover housing, meals, vehicle transportation, and program expenses.
- Early Registration Price: $300
- Please turn in MVC form and deposit by March 1st + have your student participate in youth auction on March 8.
- Each student must bring an item to donate and help during the day of the event
- After March 1st Price: $380
The first $50 deposit + MVC form will be due by March 1/April 1
The second $50 deposit will be due by May 1
The remaining balance of $200/$280 will be due by July 6thth, 2020
- By this time, every participant must sign the MIX Electronic Medical Release Form. The link will be provided to you via email.
If a cancellation is made by April 29th, we will refund the entirety of your deposit.
If a cancellation is made by July 8th, 2020, we will not hold you responsible for the trip fee and will reimburse up to $200/$280. At this point, the first two deposits will not be refundable
After July 8th, 2020, there will be no refunds offered and you will be held liable for the cost of the trip.
We do not want finances to be a barrier that prevents your student(s) from attending an event! Again, we highly encourage early registration and participation at the youth auction on March 8th to help mitigate costs.
If price is still a concern, please do not hesitate to reach out to us about other scholarship opportunities.
Location & Emergency Plan
