FIRST TIME HERE?

We're so glad you came!

WELCOME!

We know it can be an intimidating experience checking out a church for the first time.  Let us ease some of the stress by answering a few common questions about Sundays at MVC.

Where do I go when I get there?

When you drive onto our church campus we recommend if you have children that you park in the upper parking lot. There you will be greeted at the double doors and directed to the self-check-in station for Children’s Ministry. One of our Children’s Ministry leaders will give you a tour as you drop off your child(ren).

Families with middle school or high school students may walk together to the 1st floor of our church where service is held (elevator also available). Middle school students may sit with the middle school group in the front left section of the sanctuary while high school students sit in the front right section. At various times they will be dismissed by the youth leader for Sunday School.

If you are attending without children we have parking available on the side of the church. You can park here and walk down the hill where you will be greeted into the lobby of the sanctuary. You may also park in the upper lot and enter through the double doors.
A greeter will direct you to the sanctuary from there!

What are the services like at MVC?

At MVC, expect a wonderful worship experience and message shared with some of the most caring people around. We focus on bringing contemporary and traditional praise that is attainable and welcoming to all.

Sunday morning services have a fun, family atmosphere that isn't too serious but does take seriously the importance of scripture and fellowship. Each service offers a message that is both uplifting and grounded in the Word.

More God, More Love, More Life.

We are about going for more. We are about expression in worship and living out God's Word. We are about the joy of getting together to celebrate what He has done and is doing in our lives and the life of the church.

What do I wear?

Whether you like to dress up or you prefer something more casual like shorts and a t-shirt you are welcome at MVC. We want you to feel at ease when you join us for worship!

What is offered for children and youth?

KidVenture is our Children's Ministry program for ages birth through 5th grade and offered at all of our Sunday morning services.  KidVenture is a place where faith, fun, learning, and friendships work together to help kids grow. We know that when the light of the church actively partners with the heart of the home, children develop a lifelong faith.  Our program emphasizes equipping parents and grandparents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their homes and to continue the dialog we start on Sunday throughout the week with their children. Through encouragement, support, weekly communication, family activities/resources, occasional classes and fun events throughout the year, our families know that they can put roots down at KidVenture.

Rise is our Youth Ministry for ages 6th through 12th grade. Rise strives to create a place where middle school and high school students can hang out with people their own age, feel welcome to be who they are, and grow in their relationship with God. Our youth group meets on Wednesday nights for a great time that includes dinner, games, a message, worship, and small group time with caring leaders. Sunday School for 6th through 8th grade is offered during the service except for the first Sunday of the month when youth are in vited to experience communion with the congregation. A short Sunday School for 9th through 12th grade is offered weekly after the service. We seek to partner with parents and grandparents to help embrace, engage, affirm, and mobilize students to deepen their faith and prepare them to go out into their communities to make a lasting impact.

What does MVC believe?

God
The one true living sovereign God is a God of love; the Creator and Ruler of all.
The Trinity
God is three-in-one: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Scripture
Scripture is the Word of God, divinely inspired and written by human hands, and is the first and final authority for faith and life.
Creation
All things were created good by God and were made to reflect the glory of God.
The Fall
Because of human sin, all creation has fallen from its original state of perfection; as a result, human beings are subject to death, the consequences of rebellion, and the holy judgment of God.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is Lord, fully God and fully human, and the only way to eternal life.
The Cross
Jesus Christ died in the place of fallen, rebellious humanity to satisfy the holy judgment of God and was resurrected bodily on the third day from the dead in the power of the Spirit.
Reconciliation with God
By grace through faith in Christ alone, which comes as an unmerited gift from God, a person is born again, reconciled with God, filled with the Holy Spirit, and grows in Christlikeness through love of God and others.
The Return of Christ
When Jesus returns to earth, He will consummate His Kingdom and establish the new creation. Until then, His Church is empowered to serve in His name and share the Gospel.
ECO Essential Tenets
Our beliefs are grounded in the Essential Tenets of ECO.
