Weekly Newsletter

by The Youth Staff on May 3, 2021

Hi all!

This Wednesday we will be doing a photo scavenger hunt. All students will meet at the church at 6:30 pm, and we will provide transportation from there. Bring $5 for desserts, but also still come even if you can’t. We will take care of you!

It’s going to be a fun night and we hope to see you there.

Shout out to our amazing high schoolers and small group leaders! Last week they served at the Food Bank and put together over a hundred meal bags for our community. I admit I’m biased, but we truly have the best students and leaders. Appreciate you all.

Can we believe that a book written thousands of years ago is accurate/relevant?

If God is so good, why is there suffering in the world?

How do we explain to our friends that there is a loving God but also something called hell?

And why didn’t Noah save the dinosaurs?

These are just a few of the many questions that pop up in the life of faith, and we want to address them! Starting today, students are welcome to submit their own questions about the Bible, Jesus, and what it means to follow him.

While we won’t be able to tackle every question, we hope to cover a few of them and encourage students that it is okay to doubt, that God invites our questions, and He is big enough to handle them.

Questions can be submitted to joe@maplevalleychurch.org, 253-409-8344, or you can DM them to Rise_youthmvc on Instagram.

Registration for Cashmere (High School Trip) and Middle School Camp will be made available later this week!

If your students are already on our interest list, you will be receiving an email notifying you about registration as soon as it opens.

If would like to join the interest list for either trip, please contact me at joe@maplevalleychurch.org.

We are heading back to Seattle Escape Games for another round on May 19th! If your student is interested in going, please email joe@maplevalleychurch.org

Cost: $15

Time: Meet at church @ 4:45pm (Middle School) or 6:15pm (High School)

We will return to the church around 7:45-8:00pm for Middle School & 9:15-9:30pm for High School.

If you have already joined the interest list, please go ahead, and fill out this online waiver. Thank you!
