Our mission at Rise is to have fun, create meaningful relationships, and build in our students a faith that lasts. We believe that God calls each of us to live a better story, one that finds its shape in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We want our students to know that because of Jesus we can have friendship with God, we can be assured of our purpose, value, & meaning, and we can be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live lives that spread justice, goodness, and love throughout the world.
Our task and passion is to share this radically good news and lead the next generation to embrace their identity as people RISEN in Christ.

What to Expect at Youth Group
Regular Youth Group
Most nights we meet together for worship, games, lesson time, desserts, and then we split into small groups by grade and gender.
All students check in on the first floor outside the sanctuary at MVC!

Special Events (Outings)
Occasionally we will meet at the church and participate in an event together! In past years we have done escape rooms, movie nights, photo scavenger hunts, and the Puyallup Fair.
Some nights we also to serve our local community as well partnering with Vine Maple Place, Passage Point, and the Maple Valley Food Bank.

Connect Night
These nights fall after a series has ended and allow small groups to connect for service, fun, fellowship, and fun. Your student's Small Group Leader will contact parents if they are planning on leaving the church building.
Sunday School
For Middle & High School there is Sunday School during the service at 10:00 am. Students will start in the sanctuary with their families and will move to the hospitality room after worship until the end of the service (during the school year).
There is no Sunday School the first Sunday of every month on Communion Sunday.
