Baptism is one of two sacraments we celebrate along with the Lord's Supper. It is a sign and seal of God's faithfulness to us through Christ's death and resurrection. We are reminded of Christ's work on the cross to free us from our sins, and the new life that is found in Him. Baptism marks our inclusion in the visible church and our membership in covenant community as adopted members of the family of God. Baptism is not something we do, but something that God does in us, according to his gracious initiative and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
