Stephen Ministry at Maple Valley Church

Christ Caring for People Through People

Our congregation's Stephen Ministry equips volunteers to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.
Stephen Ministers are trained volunteers who support and extend the care that pastors and Small Groups continue to provide by reaching out with God's love to people who are hurting - both congregation members and non-members alike.
Everyone experiences challenges in lifetimes when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend.
Consider letting a Stephen Minister help, we're trained to listen, care, encourage, pray, and walk alongside you during difficult times.  It's confidential, free, and very helpful.

Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty such as the following:

a loss of a loved one hospitalization
divorce or separation loneliness or discouragement
spiritual crisis unemployment or job crisis
terminal illness incarceration
aging birth
adoption miscarriage
infertility a chronic illness
relocation recovery after an accident or disaster
and more

If you'd like to get involved with Stephen Ministry, either as a volunteer, or for help with a life challenge, please feel free to contact the office for further information.
