Children's Ministry
Children’s Ministry at MVC is a place where faith, fun, learning, and friendships work together to help kids grow. At MVC, Children's Ministry encompasses birth through 5th grade.
We exist to introduce children to the truth and love of Jesus Christ.
We partner with families to lay a spiritual foundation, that in God's timing will lead each child to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. While parents are in worship, their kids learn, grow and have fun in a loving, age-appropriate program. We utilize the Orange Curriculum - a strategy that combines the critical influences of the church and home to incite wonder, provoke discovery, fuel passion in the hearts of the next generation, and invites kids into a new understanding of how to grow in relationship with Jesus. Equipping parents and grandparents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their homes is encouraged and supported through weekly communication, family activities/resources and occasional classes.
OUR BIRTH THROUGH ELEMENTARY PROGRAMS
What would it look like to give our kids a compelling faith? What if we challenged our kids to know something more than just a long list of people and places? What if our kids regularly encountered God? What if our kids learned to hear God's voice and responded? What if our kids brought the Kingdom of God here? How would they be changed? How would WE be changed?We have in-person Sunday School for birth - 5th grade at 10:00 am. Lessons for those who wish to worship at home are available here.
Private nursing and changing areas are available. A family comfort quiet room is also available in our balcony area to attend the worship service with your baby. See an usher for help finding this room.
NURSERY - 3 YEAR OLDS
Our infant and toddler rooms are bright and clean, staffed by loving adults who are trained to care for your little one up to 2 years of age. Lots of age appropriate toys await your baby or toddler, but it is the loving arms and playful volunteers that will help your child come to trust that church is a safe and loving place - and start to learn that Jesus loves them too.
PRESCHOOL
Our program for preschool gives them a chance to interact with their surroundings, to learn about God and respond to Him in new ways. A specially prepared classroom and well-trained and experienced teachers welcome your child each Sunday morning.
ELEMENTARY
Designed with your elementary student in mind, our Sunday morning program brings together high energy with a dynamic curriculum that promotes spiritual formation. Kids experience corporate worship and teaching featuring our excellent team of small and large group leaders.
