Good Morning MVC!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter. It certainly was a different Easter schedule for our family without the normal Sunday services and family gatherings to attending, but it was certainly a beautiful time.
As Joe mentioned in his "Good Morning MVC" yesterday, Sabbath rest is something I try to engage in and one of the ways I do that is through reading. I have been reading/listening to a lot of books lately and today I want to share a few of those recommendations with you. Additionally, if you have books that you have been reading I would love for you to pass those recommendations along. I'm always looking for another good book to read!
Here are a few of the books I have been reading lately...
Prayer: How praying together shapes the church by John Onwuchekwa
When Pain is Real and God Seems Silent: Finding Hope in the Psalms by Ligon Duncan
Breathing Space: A Spiritual Journey in the South Bronx by Heidi Neumark
Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl
I also recommend Wendell Berry's Port Williams book series. Berry, is a prolific writer/poet and his Port Williams books are filled with great characters and storylines.
As you continue to stick close to the house, take some time if you haven't already, to find ways to challenge yourself. It's easy to simply go through the daily routine and feel stuck, but what better time to read a good book that challenges, encourages, or inspires you.
