Good Morning MVC Family
Romans 1:8-12 :
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. 9 God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you 10 in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you.
11 I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— 12 that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
In reading this I can say that I understand what Paul felt. Every fiber of my being longs to be reunited with my church family in our building. I want to “be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith”. I also just really want to hug each of you. I am so encouraged by how our church family has loved and cared for one another, has cared for our community through reaching out to those around them and continuing to support our Deacon’s Ministry, and that you have continued to support our missionaries around the world. Truly the faith of our MVC family is a witness in these times. But like Paul, my heart still longs to be present with you. In these times where it feels like division is being stoked, people spewing hate has become entertainment on social media, injustice is tolerated, and abuse and suicide are on the rise my heart cries out “Lord, let your kingdom come.”
I love all of Psalm 145 but today I just want to focus on verses 13-21.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The Lord is faithful in all his words,
and gracious in all his deeds.[c]
14 The Lord upholds all who are falling,
and raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
16 You open your hand,
satisfying the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is just in all his ways,
and kind in all his doings.
18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desire of all who fear him;
he also hears their cry, and saves them.
20 The Lord watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
and all flesh will bless his holy name forever and ever.
The Lord is just, he hears our cries, and as we have been learning in our Revelation study His kingdom is everlasting. Today I would like to do something that God has been putting on my heart, I want to pray specifically for you. Let us mutually encourage one another through prayer. My cell phone number is 949-310-5392 and I would love for you to text me with your prayer requests. Now is the time for us to cry out to the Lord and I want to do that as a community.
I love you church family and hope to hear from you this week.
