MIX Summer Camp

Our department is thrilled to announce a new trip specifically designed for 2019-2020 6th, 7th, and 8th grades this summer! On August 3-6, 2020, MVC Rise will be participating in MIX 2020, a four-day youth conference that will be hosted at Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center in Stanwood, WA.

What is MIX?

MIX is a summer event intentionally crafted to engage middle school students through tactile, interactive, and fun activities coupled with Bible-based teaching and small group interaction. The following is what a typical day at MIX might look like:

7:30 – Breakfast

9:30am – Morning Session

11:00am – Small Groups

12:15pm – Lunch

1:30pm – Outdoor Games

2:30pm – Free Time

4:00pm – Stage Games

5:00pm – Dinner

6:30pm – Main Session

8:15pm – Small Groups

10:30pm – Lights Out

Who Can Attend?

This trip is open to current middle schoolers who are already a part of our program. This means that incoming 6th graders in 2020 will not be eligible to attend.

Note that for our inaugural trip we will be capping attendance to the first 16 students who turn in their forms and deposits by April 1, 2020. Based on how this trip goes, we will consider expanding for 2021.

After July 8th, 2020, there will be no refunds offered and you will be held liable for the cost of the trip.

Financial Aid

We do not want finances to be a barrier that prevents your student(s) from attending an event! Again, we highly encourage early registration and participation at the youth auction on March 8th to help mitigate costs.

If price is still a concern, please do not hesitate to reach out to us about other scholarship opportunities.

Location & Emergency Plan

During the four-day event we will be at Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center (20800 Marine Drive, Stanwood, WA 98292). From MVC, the commute is about 1.5-2hrs. If at any time you need to contact an adult supervisor, you can reach:

Joe Phenisee 253-409-8344

Alison Mendenhall 206-227-8238

We will have a first aid kit, all medical information of our students, & be within reach of local hospitals & homes should anything happen.
